Bellator 58 Results: Lombard victorious and Chandler defeats Alvarez to become the new Bellator lightweight Champion

Bellator 58 took place this weekend at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida and saw Hector Lombard bring his win streak to an impressive 25 wins straight in the non-title catchweight affair against Trevor Prangley. Lombard secured his victory via TKO in the second round.

This event also saw a new lightweight champion crowned in a battle that is being touted as “Fight of the Year”. Michael Chandler snatched the title from Eddie Alvarez with a rear naked choke in the fourth round after an exciting war that had many fans on the edge of their seats.
